The world is doomed to reciprical failure.

You would think, in a world where technology and communications were developing at an exponential rate, the entire fabric of society would be stronger and more secure than ever before.

If you think this, you are WRONG.

In fact the petty and downright disgusting sides of human nature have been given a new and more powerful platform on which to stand.
The biggest problem is people feeling they are entitled to something.

I will direct your attention to this article.

Before I continue, I must note this is NOT an attack against the Falun Gong, they are just being used as an example to illustrate my point.

In the article you see a group which has been known to be protesting a point of a political nature, and the Farmer's Santa Parade Trust has a policy of keeping politics out of the parade.
You would think ok, the trust said their piece, it is the end of it.

But it is not, the Falun Gong is repeatedly suing the parade trust trying to cite a breach of civil rights.

Let me restate.

The Falun Gong are suing a PRIVATE trust, for being denied entrance into a PRIVATE parade, where their very presence could be a breach of trust policy.
But no the Falun Gong feel they are entitled to entrance.
You might have noticed the word private being emphasized above, the reason being that it is a private function and the trust have full rights to (dis)allow anyone they like.
The Falun Gong and anyone else are entitled to squat in this case.

As a side note, this brings up man worst invention ever, the modern legal system.
America is a great place to focus in on it, you can pretty much drag someone into expensive legal proceedings for looking at you funny.
Also this leads to the awful concept of political correctness.
You have corrected nothing.
By trying to make the world more fair, you have tipped the balance and made it more unfair than ever.

Here's some words of advice: "The world is not fair, so suck it in and power on. Crying about it like a spoilt child only sows seeds of hate and disrespect. You are entitled to nothing, and anything you do get comes only after alot of hard work."

Inter-semester fun: Just Relaxing

Ah yeah, it's about time I don't have to worry about assignments or exams.
I can just earn some money, hang out with mates, play some games and of course get drunk.

Long Time, No Blog

Wow, its been a wild ride for sure.
As i have mentioned previously a lot was, and still is changing in my life.
And as such, my blog got neglected.
However, I AM BACK!!! (RAWR!)
Now, I plan to take my blog in a new direction.
Sure I will still post random rants, observations and foolishness. But I will also use this as a development blog as my life in computer science develops.

My Wonderful Week Off: Part 3: The Old Dog and The Sea

Ok, so the dog isn't old, but I just like snappy titles =P.

Anyway, my Friday was enjoyable, we went to a nearby dog beach and let our mutt (Named Miro) loose.
We had the beach ourselves, it was wonderful.

I remembered my sunblock again, but this time I got burned.
No, I wasn't using Cancer Society Trigger Spray SPF30+.

I simply didn't expect to get burnt where I did, My Feet.
Yes, my feet got sunburnt, and it is VERY VERY irritating.
I don't look forward to returning to work and having to wear shoes again O.o Read more!

My Wonderful Week Off: Part 2: The Beach

Ah the sweet sweet sounds and smells of Orewa Beach.
Wait, what's this large yellow thing in the sky, IT BURNES!!!
Just joking, I remembered my sunblock.

Anyway, as you can guess I went to the beach, and swam too... it was brilliant.
Now we are going to take the dog for a walk at a nearby dog beach.. that will be "interesting."

Ah, sweet sweet relaxation. It seems so long since I last could sit back and not worry about work or other things.

The Definition of Procrastination.

One word, a word that defines my recent blogging habits.
Previously I posted on my other blog, but mid 2007 i changed my email address.
This caused an obvious conflict with blogger with the only true solution being starting a new blog.
And so my term of procrastination was born.

My friend re-designed his blog for the new year, and I was once again motivated to blog.
So here I am.

Picking a name for my blog was initially difficult, but I felt the name Duality fits the theme of my life as it will be over the next few months.

As of march I will be commencing tertiary study at The University of Auckland and entering a whole world of new experiences. I will find myself living in a duality. Balancing old with new.

The purpose of this blog will be to keep everyone up to date with events in my life, both real and virtual, and also as a vent for any issue I feel needs to be addressed.

So to all reading, I welcome you, and I hope to see more of you in the future. Read more!
